Sometimes making an impact starts with something as simple as saying yes.
Across Clarksville, people have many opportunities to support their neighbors and strengthen the community. There are many ways to support the Clarksville community, and even a small contribution can make a lasting difference.
One example is our upcoming Give Back, Give Blood drive on October 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Each blood donation can help someone facing a serious illness, recovering from an injury, or going through an unexpected medical situation. Our goal is to fill every available appointment and encourage members of our community to consider how their time or generosity can help someone else.
Of course, giving back does not look the same for everyone. It may mean donating to a local organization, volunteering your time, supporting a neighbor, sharing a resource, or finding a nonprofit whose mission speaks to you.
Sometimes, the way we choose to serve is even shaped by our own experiences.
The stories shared through The Cost of Admission offer another reminder of what can happen when people choose to turn difficult experiences into opportunities to help others. Gary and Mari Linfoot, featured in the upcoming episode The Cost of Change, found a way to serve others through the American Mobility Project after Gary was injured during military service.
Their story is a reminder that change can lead us toward a new purpose. Sometimes that purpose is found through service, generosity, or simply being willing to help.
If you are looking for a way to get involved, Clarksville has organizations and community efforts that need people willing to give their time, resources, or support. Whether you choose to make donations, volunteer, or participate in a local event, your contribution matters.
Giving back in Clarksville starts with finding one way to say yes.
