At the Millan Foundation, we believe meaningful change is built through strong partnerships, practical support, and a willingness to serve where the need is greatest.
In July, members of the Millan Foundation and Millan Enterprises team traveled alongside community partners to Guatemala for a week of service, connection, and firsthand engagement with organizations working to create lasting change.
Throughout the trip, the team had the opportunity to support several meaningful projects. Together, we installed new flooring at Casa Aleluya, helped provide care to 97 patients through a medical mission clinic, replaced a metal roof for a family in need, and visited communities where access to clean water is improving health, stability, and opportunity.
Each experience reflected the heart of the Foundation’s work: listening to our partners, understanding what is needed, and helping stand in the gap in practical ways.
Celebrating 12,000 Life-Changing Surgeries
One of the most meaningful moments of the trip was visiting the Moore Pediatric Surgery Center during a surgical week and celebrating its 12,000th surgery.
This milestone represents far more than a number. It reflects thousands of children and families whose lives have been changed through compassionate medical care, dedicated professionals, and the continued support of partners who believe every child deserves access to treatment.
The Millan Foundation is honored to support the Moore Center and its mission. We are grateful to witness the impact of this work firsthand and look forward to seeing many more children receive the care they need.
Clean Water That Creates Lasting Change
The team also visited a site supported through Filling Hope: The George Watson Clean Water Initiative.
Access to clean water affects nearly every part of daily life, from health and education to family stability and economic opportunity. Seeing the progress already made was encouraging, while learning about future expansion reinforced how much work remains.
These projects are designed not only to meet an immediate need, but to create sustainable change for entire communities.
More Than a Mission Trip
The heat, long days, and travel were small compared with the purpose behind the work. Every project, conversation, and person we met served as a reminder that hope becomes tangible when people choose to act.
This trip was not about arriving with all the answers. It was about serving alongside trusted partners, learning from the communities they support, and helping address needs that allow their work to continue.
Although the trip has ended, the partnerships and mission continue.
We are grateful to Casa Aleluya, the Moore Center, our medical mission partners, the communities that welcomed us, and everyone whose generosity makes this work possible. Together, we are Lifting Visions. Crafting Change.
Help continue the impact.
